Archive
The Archive identifies, selects and preserves material relating to the history of ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú’ School, making it available for use by staff, pupils, and the wider community. Our aim is to ensure a complete and accurate record of the work of the School.
The Collections
Although many of the older School records are kept with those of ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú’ Company at Guildhall Library [Download The Catalogue] in London there remains a significant and growing collection at the School. The ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Archive contains a broad range of material relating to the School, its pupils and staff including manuscripts, photographs, textiles, artefacts and digital material. The Archive is also home to a rare books collection named the Goad Library, which was assembled by John Goad, Headmaster from 1661, as the original School Library.
Enquiries and Visits
The Archive is open from 9.00am to 4.00pm, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during term time, by appointment only. Please send enquiries by email to the Archivist archives@mtsn.org.uk with as much information about your research as possible. Access to the Archive is at the discretion of the School and certain records are closed for a set period of time, due to confidentiality and Data Protection Legislation.
Donations
We positively welcome donations of material related to the history of the School, its staff and pupils during their time at the School.
